Dr Mayenaaz (Naaz) Sidhu strives in providing high quality diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy delivering the best possible outcomes for his patients. He is a firm believer in evidence based practice in managing patients. Dr Sidhu has an interest in all aspects of gastroenterology and therapeutic endoscopy with an expertise in the endoscopic management of small bowel disorders, colonic polyps as well as biliary and pancreatic diseases. He is passionate about optimising patient outcomes using advanced minimally invasive techniques to avoid the need for major surgery.
Dr Sidhu was awarded his fellowship with the Royal Australia College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2017 as a gastroenterologist. He underwent additional training in interventional endoscopy by completing two years of an advanced endoscopy fellowship, under the guidance of the world-renowed Prof Michael Bourke, focusing on Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR) and Endoscopic Submucosa Dissection (ESD) and concurrently undertook a doctorate in medicine (PhD). He was subsequently awarded his PhD in Medicine in 2022 from the University of Sydney and received a university prize for his work.
Dr Sidhu's research has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals. Dr Sidhu is currently actively involved in many international and national research projects. Given his expertise he is regularly invited to actively participate in international and national meetings.
Dr Sidhu is extremely dedicated towards his patients and is always striving to provide high-quality evidenced based care.
Outside of the office, Dr Sidhu enjoys golf, watching live sports and listening to music.
