Dr Mayenaaz (Naaz) Sidhu strives in providing high quality diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy while ensuring medical excellence. Dr Sidhu has an interest in all aspects of Gastroenterology and therapeutic endoscopy with an expertise in the endoscopic management of small bowel disorders, colonic polyps as well as biliary and pancreatic disease. He is passionate about optimising patient outcomes using minimally invasive techniques and ensuring rapid access endoscopy especially for the national bowel cancer screening
Dr Sidhu was awarded his fellowship with the Royal Australia College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2017 before continuing onto becoming not only a Gastroenterologist but an Interventional Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist. He has since completed two years of an advanced endoscopy fellowship focusing on Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR) and Endoscopic Submucosa Dissection (ESD).
Dr Sidhu’s dedication to advancing the field of gastroenterology especially utilising endoscopic procedures has been an integral part of his commitment to the field. Dr Sidhu is actively involved in many international and national research projects and conferences. He has been invited to speak at a number of conferences including meetings in Barcelona, Chicago, Calgary, Hyderabad, Washington DC and Vienna. He has an extensive list of research publications and presentation and is also actively involved in teaching.
Dr Sidhu is currently undertaking a PhD in the field of advanced tissue resection to innovate and develop new techniques in advanced endoscopy to further the treatment of early cancer in the GI tract. He has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and has been an invited speaker at multiple national and international gastroenterology meetings and conferences.
Dr Sidhu is extremely dedicated towards his patients and is always striving to provide high-quality evidenced based care. Outside of the office, Dr Sidhu enjoys golf, watching sports and listening to music.
